Mount Vernon’s 2017 Annual Ornament Is Inspired By The Twelve Festive Christmas Trees That Grace Mount Vernon’s Ford Orientation Center And The Donald W. Reynolds Museum & Education Center. Ranging In Heights Of Up To 12 Feet Tall, The Trees Are Creatively Decorated With Themes Relating To Mount Vernon, George Washington, And The 18Th Century. Adorning This Ornament Are Pineapples, The 18Th-Century Symbol Of Hospitality, Festive Fruits, And Colonial Chamber-Sticks. Crowning The Top Is George Washington’s Dove Of Peace Weathervane.
