Tavern Glasses Are Made In A Style That Was Commonly Seen At Homes And Taverns In Colonial Times. A Clear Tavern Glass Was Generally Used For Wine While A Darker Colored Glass Was Used For Other Beverages. The Mount Vernon Tavern Glasses Are Approximately 7″ Tall, 2 ¾” In Diameter At The Base, And 3 ¼” In Diameter At The Lip. Size Will Vary As Each Glass Is Individually Hand-Made. The Capacity Of The Small Tavern Glass Is 4 Ounces. “Gw” Has Been Etched On The Bottom Of Each Glass Exclusively For Mount Vernon.
